  12.                        Special Note Regarding CD-ROM Installation
  13.  
  14.           The files on your CD-ROM are not compressed, so you can see the 
  15.           look of a program right from the CD-ROM by typing the program's 
  16.           .EXE name at the DOS prompt.  You will not be able to save any 
  17.           files you create in this manner, however.  To do that, you must 
  18.           install the program to a floppy or a hard drive.  It is recommended
  19.           that you install this program to a floppy disk if you wish to test 
  20.           it thoroughly.  That way, the files you create can be copied to 
  21.           your hard disk should you decide to keep it later on.

  23.           You can install Charging from your CD-ROM to a floppy disk, test 
  24.           it as thoroughly as you like, and then if you decide to keep it,  
  25.           you can install it to your hard disk by running the Install found 
  26.           on your floppy disk, just as if the floppy disk were a distribution
  27.           disk.  Install will copy over all of Charging's files, and if 
  28.           you've created any data files, it will notify you and ask if you 
  29.           want those copied over as well.

  36.                     Requires 340 Kb of disk space
  37.                     Charging can be run from a hard or a floppy disk.

  59.                             Installation from the CD-ROM
  60.           
  61.           From the Credit Card Program's CD-ROM directory, type:
  62.  
  63.                                 install
  64.  
  65.           Install will ask for one or two items:
  66.  
  67.                       1   the target drive, and
  68.                       2   the target directory (if copying to a hard disk)
  69.  
  70.           If you install Charging to a floppy disk, you will not be asked 
  71.           for a target directory.

  73.           Please remember that you cannot install to a CD-ROM.

  75.           After specifying the drive (and directory, in the event you're
  76.           installing to a hard drive), Install will ask if you need to make 
  77.           any changes.  If you need to change an entry, press <Y> or the up
  78.           arrow.

  82.           Install offers \MYREALM as the default directory.  You can change 
  83.           it to your liking of course, but it is recommended that all of My 
  84.           Little Realm's programs be put in the same directory.

  86.           If you give Install the name of a directory that already exists, it
  87.           will put Charging into that existing directory.  
  88.  
  89.           Warning:  You should only put Charging into a directory with other 
  90.           My Little Realm programs.  They are made to interact properly.  If 
  91.           Charging is your first MLR program, you should put it into its own 
  92.           directory.

  96.                               Printing the Documentation

  98.           To print Charging's documentation, go to the Charging directory 
  99.           (MYREALM is used as an example) and direct the printout of 
  100.           CHARGING.TXT to the printer using the "> PRN" option as shown 
  101.           below.  Be sure your printer is on.

  111.                                 Printing an Order Form

  113.           To print an order form, go to the Charging directory and direct the
  114.           printout of REGISTER.TXT to the printer using the "> PRN" option as
  115.           shown below.  Be sure your printer is on.

  125.           in the Options Window of Charging.

  129.           Some of the other programs available from My Little Realm are:  
  130.           Calling Cards, Checking, Savings, Private Library (for your 
  131.           personal collections of books, tapes, cd's, etc.), Public Library 
  132.           (to help you keep track of the works you borrow from your public 
  133.           libraries), Read More (a program designed to encourage young 
  134.           readers), and Records of the Realm (which helps you keep track of 
  135.           all of the important documents in your life).  Read DESCRIBE.TXT 
  136.           for information on all of these programs.
